This is part of the business plan we submitted
It is veterans helping veterans using a proven method means using equine therapy in this case horses. Bringing together two sentient beings who are seeking healing through their connection with each other and finding a common and natural ground to work together for a common goal.
Horses are keen observers and by nature vigilant and sensitive to movement as well as emotion. They often mirror a client’s behavior or emotions, conveying understanding and connection that allows the client to feel safe.
Improve community health
Veterans are vital members of society. Veterans who are suffering from service connected traumas and injuries require unique support groups that RHET forms with Veterans.
RHET creates a familiar trusting environment to support Veterans. Our communities become healthier from successful interventions and supportive Veteran activities.
Contingency plans
In case of illness or injury of the President Edward Asbert, the day-to-day operations and decision making for the best interest of RHET will be handled by Mark Koenig as per the partnership agreement by laws of the nonprofit incorporation.
In the event of equipment breakdown, all repairs will be performed by the properly certified repair personnel.
Contingency Plan
In the event of low service demands RHET, will be supported by Freedom Farms owned by Mark Koenig as per the partnership agreement.
In the event RHET services increases beyond expectations, we are prepared by retaining copies of applications of both volunteers and certified equine therapists. We additionally will have extra empty stalls to bring in more horses and gear to support the growth.
In the event the cost of providing services goes up, RHET is prepared to structure the pricing to fit the demand.
Triple Bottom Line
We help with using our horse by products and donating them to a nonprofit Cascade Grove helping to fertilizer their trees with compost and manure. We are using services in the local community such as Arlington Veterinary Hospital while having All Creatures Veterinary Service as a backup.
A local farrier will be hired to handle our horses’ feet providing more community employment.
The use of storm-water runoff and treated gray water is to be used for pasture irrigation.
Some of our volunteers will be from the local area to help maintain the grounds and for the handling of the livestock. Some of our graduates will be volunteering their time by becoming certified in equine therapy and providing services to RHET. We have found this to be a consistent model experienced throughout the equine therapy industry.
Provide outreach
RHET actively engages at the community levels to ensure vulnerable Veterans and community supporters know how to direct Veterans to vital resources. By maintaining partnerships across the spectrum, RHET assists Veterans and their families in determining their eligibility for services such as housing, healthcare and other family resources sponsored by the VA, Veteran Service Organizations and Community Health organizations.
